UI & Visual Designer (Berlin, Germany - Hybrid)

A company with a great tradition focusing on renewable energy solutions is now facing an amazing challenge – new “all in one” platform for internal and external clients (investors). The role will be part of a "startu-up" team and will focus on turning research insights into interactive design concepts and simplifying complex digital user experiences. You will be working on a digital product to increase the impact of renewable energy investments by using artificial intelligence technologies, through sketching, prototyping and front-end development.

Some of your core activities

Co-analyze research, synthesize findings, translate human behavior into tangible concepts
Prototype and experiment at different levels of fidelity
Convey concepts through wireframes, flows, mockups, interactions and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
Develop and curate consistent design guidelines and component styles to establish a scalable design system for our digital products.
Design graphic user interface elements, like styles or components
Writing microcopy for your designs
Ensure product & engineering adherence to design guidelines.
Selling ideas verbally and visually to demonstrate the value of design
You will have a strong level of ownership over the experience and look & feel of our digital products.

Your Toolbox

Be able to distinguish between good and great work and be able to articulate the difference with an eye for detail.
Fluent in design tools, such as Figma
Fluent in creating quick and dirty interactive prototypes
You have knowledge to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, space and time.
Minimum of 2-3 years commercial project experience, producing wireframes, high-fidelity, interactive mockups for enterprise-level digital products.
A strong portfolio with validated work across platforms demonstrating a strong foundation in user-interface design, visual design typography, and idea generation, that highlight your approach to problem solving.
Demonstrate clear, outcome-oriented decision-making in your designs, balancing business goals and user needs

Your extra magic

Familiar with design research and testing methods, like interviews, remote user studies, user testing
Passion for visual design and an eye for detail that delights users.
Prior experience working in a startup and/or SaaS business
Experience designing data dashboards
Ability to create illustrations
