SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER, GERMANY, HYBRID/ONSITE/REMOTE
WHAT WILL YOU DO
In your role as a Site Reliability Engineer, you will ensure the stability of the system though establishing best practices across infrastructure, monitoring and security whilst also driving the productivity of the Engineering Team through DevOps practices.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the direction of the modern state of the art infrastructure at our subsidiary, independent of the systems of our company, directly reporting to our Director of Engineering

Continuously improve the availability, monitoring, traceability and incident responses across our systems

Grow security awareness in the team and actively drive security best practices in infrastructure

Support the growth of our team by establishing DevOps practices across our working agreements

Eagerness to continuously learn from the wider community and improve our infrastructure and processes
YOUR EXPERIENCES
-
Professional experience operating distributed systems in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, GCP)
-
Professional experience in designing, managing and continuously improving monitoring & alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog, etc.)

Prior experience with state-of-the-art container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS) and solid foundation in container technologies

Prior experience using Infrastructure as Code practices, establishing processes for iterative changes in the infrastructure (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)

Professional proficiency of written and spoken English
NICE TO HAVE
-
Prior experience managing and continuously evolving CI/CD processes (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions)

Prior experience with operating and/or coding JVM systems (Kotlin, Java)

Prior experience with credential management systems is a plus (e.g., Hashicorp Vault, AWS/GCP Secrets Manager)

Knowledge of data private & security policies best practices (e.g., GDPR)
